Plan Your Exterior Cleaning
Commercial Pressure Washing as Part of Property Care
Exterior cleaning can be one part of a commercial property's maintenance plan. A useful request identifies the surfaces, visible buildup, site constraints and limits of the work rather than assuming one cleaning visit solves every concern.
Start With a Surface Inventory
Walk the areas you are authorized to inspect and note building elevations, storefronts, entry concrete, shared paths and dumpster pads separately. Record the material, finish and visible condition. Identify existing cracks, loose coatings or damage so they can be considered before a cleaning scope is proposed.
Routine dirt, organic discoloration, chewing gum, food spills, grease, oil and paint are different concerns. Describe what is known about a mark and include photos from a safe position. Unknown substances or spills may require specialist assessment; do not handle them to prepare an estimate request.
Separate Cleaning From Other Maintenance
Cleaning, repairs, painting, coating restoration and waste handling should be distinct items. A washing proposal should not imply that it will fix damaged materials, certify sanitation or restore every finish. Ask which concerns can be assessed as cleaning work and which need another trade or a separate scope.
Plan Around the People Using the Site
- Identify the owner or manager who can approve the work.
- Describe customer, tenant and accessible entry routes.
- Share operating hours, deliveries and waste-collection timing.
- Flag nearby equipment, furnishings, drains and adjacent property.
Discuss the practical arrangements before scheduling. An estimate request does not reserve out-of-hours availability or establish who provides access control, barriers or specialist equipment. Put those responsibilities in the agreed scope where relevant.
Choose a Scope Before Choosing a Frequency
If you want ongoing visits, first define the areas and tasks for a single service. Then discuss the property's condition, usage and desired review schedule. A fixed annual frequency should not be assumed from a general article, and exterior appearance alone does not guarantee customer traffic or revenue.
